You’ve likely heard the famous Walt Disney quote: “If you can dream it, you can do it. Always remember that this whole thing started with a dream and a mouse.”

Well, The QT started with a dream, a bunch of cuties, a bit of frustration, a dash of desperation, and a whole lot of love. It was born during a time when I found myself reflecting deeply on what matters most - to me as a person, and to me as a parent.

As a parent, what I care about most is the well-being and future of my children. As a person, it's having a purpose. The intersection of these two drives is where The QT was born.

Being a parent is one of life’s greatest responsibilities. We all know the way we raise our kids shapes the adults they will become and, ultimately, their future. And for me, it became clear that I didn’t want my children raised with limitations - especially not ones imposed by gender stereotypes. I wanted them free to be whoever they dream to be.

One day, that sense of responsibility turned into frustration when I couldn't find cute, playful animal prints for my little boy. For girls and babies, it was easy - adorable prints everywhere! But for boys after toddlerhood? Close to impossible. I realised how deep gender stereotypes ran in something as simple as kids' clothing, and how it didn’t seem fair.

I didn’t want to raise my son (or my daughter) in a world where “cute” was only for girls or for babies. I wanted clothing that both boys and girls could enjoy equally. I believe that gender equality starts at home, in how we raise our children - without the constraints of stereotypes.

At the same time, I share a deep love for animals with my kids. We spend countless moments aww-ing at puppies, pandas, sloths - you name it! Those moments spark joy, bring us together, and remind us of our connection with nature. I wanted The QT to do the same - to nurture that love for animals and inspire kids to connect with the natural world.

Speaking of nature, that’s where my frustration shifted to another level. We’re ruining the planet, and it’s not fair. Our kids’ well-being and their future are directly impacted by the state of the environment. That’s why, at The QT, it’s not just about cute clothes - it’s about creating clothing that is kind to the planet and to all living beings.

The QT is on a mission to spread cuteness sustainably. Our designs are stereotype-free, crafted with organic, planet-friendly materials, and designed for circularity. We’re here to help nurture a love for animals, nature, and equality, while giving kids the freedom to express their unique selves.
